Purpose of the Crossroads Internship
The leadership of Crossroads believes in partnering with conservative, biblically focused colleges and
seminaries to provide hands-on, real-life experience for interns so they can understand how ministry is done on a day-by-day and week-by-week basis. We believe partnering is important for several reasons:

1. The pastoral leadership saw the benefits of serving on a church staff as a part of their seminary experience allowing them to implement what they were learning in their classes.
2. The pastoral staff has a heart to help the upcoming generation start their vocations well.
3. The leadership sees the benefit to Crossroads as we have experienced sustained growth since our inception and are expecting the growth to continue as western Dubuque continues to grow.

Internship Results
Our goal is to give the intern a well-rounded experience in ministry that will:

1. Help the intern grow deeper in their own relationship with Christ
2. Help prepare the intern through practical ministry
3. Help the intern contextualize and integrate their understanding of the Bible and theology in ministry
4. Give the intern opportunities to develop events and activities based in their area of focus 
5. Give the intern opportunities to lead and empower others through servant leadership
