What is Operation Christmas Child and what are the steps to participate?

Check out this page with information about the life and adventure of a shoebox! Samaritan's Purse and Operation Christmas Child has shared the gospel in over 100 countries around the globe.
What is required?
First, pick up a shoebox and label at Sunday services or at the Intersection during normal business hours. Click here for gift suggestions (or download the pdf under Additional Resources) according to age and gender for other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies to fill the shoebox. Make sure to mark the age and gender on your label.
Once I've packed my shoebox, what's next?
Most importantly, "pray without ceasing" (1 Thess. 5:17) for the child who will receive your shoebox gift. Please also pray for:
- Their family to also be receptive to the Good News of Jesus Christ.
- The pastor of the church who delivers your shoebox gift.
- Their community to be transformed by the Gospel.
I'm praying for the child, what's next?
Consider adding a donation of $10 to the box for shipping. This can be done in a few ways:
- Check payable to Operation Christmas Child (in postage paid envelope with tag)
- Giving the suggested donation online and then you can track your shoebox (through the QR code on the label).
